Internal analysis of the company<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Before making decisions about internationalization, it\u2019s essential to understand who we are as a company, what resources we have, and what our actual capacity is to grow in new markets.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Company purpose and culture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">What is the company\u2019s mission?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">What differentiates us in terms of values, mission, and vision?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">What is the company culture that defines us?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This foundation is crucial for maintaining brand consistency in other countries.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value proposition<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">What problem does our product solve?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Why do customers choose us?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">What makes us unique compared to the competition?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A clear and solid value proposition is essential for effective communication in any market. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Business model <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Here, it\u2019s essential to understand how value is created and delivered. To determine whether our model can scale internationally, we need to review:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Value chain<\/strong>: From product creation to delivery and after-sales service <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Channels<\/strong>: How does our product reach the end consumer? Direct sales, e-commerce, distribution?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Partners<\/strong>: What allies do we have (suppliers, distributors, strategic collaborators)?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Revenue: Who are we targeting? Our current customers will help us understand if there are similar markets outside our country. Can we bear initial losses until we achieve profitability?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Experience<\/strong>: Do we have prior experience in international markets? Do we have a team that has worked on exports or market entry?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Teams<\/strong>: Do we have people qualified to lead this expansion? Can we dedicate part of our current team, or do we need to hire specific talent?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Product portfolio<\/strong>: Which products may have demand in other countries? Which could be adapted or reinvented according to the target market?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Reputation<\/strong>: Does our brand have recognition outside of our country? Do we have success stories back up our market entry?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">International presence: In which countries are we already operating? What have we learned from those experiences?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Limitations and strengths<\/strong>: What could prevent us from taking our product or service to another country? Consider legal barriers (regulations, health standards, customs, certifications), product characteristics (perishable, fragile, or culturally specific). <br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Resources for Internationalization<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not all markets have the same potential. Selecting a country is a strategic decision that must be based on data and objective criteria:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Real need\/market situation<\/strong>: Is there a clear need for what we offer? Is the market already educated about our type of product?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Consumption volume<\/strong>: Is there enough consumption volume to justify entry?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Purchasing power<\/strong>: Does the country have enough purchasing power to sustain the sale of our product?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key indicators:\u00a0Penetration rate, saturation level and market profitability.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Penetration rate: Measures how many real consumers exist relative to the total potential consumers of a product in a specific market.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Saturation level<\/strong>: How competitive is the market? What relative position can we reach compared to local and international brands?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Market profitability<\/strong>: I am not alone in my mind. That market may be more or less saturated. I need to understand how this affects my profitability in that country.<br>How long do we estimate it will take to recover the investment? What are the entry costs (legal, logistics, marketing)? What profit margin can we expect?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Commercial Approaches (The Challenge of Decision-Making)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Once the country is selected, we must define how we will approach that market from a commercial perspective. This depends on the size of the company, available resources, and strategic vision.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>International Approach<\/strong>: The product is developed for the original local market and then exported without significant adaptations. It requires less investment but may not fully connect with the local consumer.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Multinational Approach<\/strong>: The product is adapted according to the characteristics of the country it is targeted for. Cultural differences, consumption habits, or even local regulations are taken into account. This approach requires higher investment but leads to more connection with the local consumer.<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Example: Selling rings in Europe, but designing footwear ornaments for Dubai with the same branding.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Globalization<\/strong>: A product is designed from the start to be suitable for all markets. In other words, the goal is to create a common value proposition that works globally.
